Where To Stay in Viñales
Viñales is one of the most popular cities in Cuba for visitors and an easy day trip from Havana, but it’s really just a small town! There are few true hotels in Vinales, and most of the accommodation options are casa particular guest houses and tiny locally-run hotels with less than half a dozen rooms.
While there’s not a lot of variety here, there are plenty of places to stay. Looking for a quick guide to the best casa particular guest houses and hotels in Viñales? These are our top recommendations for the best places to stay in Viñales for every style of travel:

Best Places to Stay in Viñales
Casa El Porry ($)
Best Casa Particular Guest House in Viñales
Casa El Porry is by far our favorite casa particular guest house in all of Viñales. Rooms are basic and affordable, but the incredible rooftop “dining room” and lounge are truly something special, offering what may be the most spectacular views of the area. There are several rooms available for rent, which makes it a great option for those traveling with family or friends.
Reviews and Bookings: Casa El Porry
Finca Media Luna ($$)
Best Farmhouse Stay in Viñales
If you’re looking for the best farmhouse-style stay in the heart of the beautiful countryside of Viñales Valley, you’ve found it. Finca Media Luna is a country-style accommodation with little bungalows set amongst the Valle de Silencio that makes for an incredible stay.
The views across Viñales from Finca Media Luna are incredible, but the loving attention by the hosts is what makes the stay an unforgettable one. Their home-cooked meals are delicious, and the owners go out of their way to help you find the best tours of the area.
Reviews and Bookings: Finca Media Luna
MogoteArt ($$)
Best Hotel in Viñales
Located in the heart of the national park in Viñales, MogoteArt is part organic farm, part guest house, and part eco lodge – there really aren’t many places like it in Cuba. Chef-prepared meals use organic ingredients picked from the large, lovely grounds. National park views are stunning; you’ll feel peacefully off the grid here.
Rooms are a bit basic but perfectly comfortable, adding to the connection with place by drawing travelers straight outside for views from hammocks on the patio. MogoteArt made our list of one of the best hotels in Cuba – we even named it the best unique place to stay in all of Cuba!

Casa Nenita ($ – $$)
In the heat of summer, there’s no better place to stay in Viñales than Casa Nenita. This casa particular with a pool and large pool deck area feels more like a small hotel but has the great service and attention you’ll receive in a casa particular. The views from the roof are impressive – it’s the perfect place to enjoy a cold beer after a day of exploring the park.
Reviews and Bookings: Casa Nenita
Casa Diana y Maykel ($)
A swimming pool and the newer construction facing the national park at Casa Diana y Maykel make it a favorite casa particular guest house with travelers in Viñales. Diana and Maykel are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make guests feel welcome.
Diana’s home cooking is amazing and definitely recommended for a meal during your stay. Internet available in the house is a major plus!

Travel Insurance
Cuba requires that all travelers have proof of a comprehensive travel insurance policy in order to enter the country. Check out our guide to travel insurance for Cuba for more details. We recommend these brands for Cuba travel insurance:
- Visitors Coverage: Coverage for Cuba travel available to citizens of all countries, though not currently available to residents of New York and Maryland in the United States.
- Insubuy: Coverage for Cuba travel available to citizens of all countries and states of the United States.
Villa Tomasa ($)
We stayed at Villa Tomasa on a recent trip to Viñales and will be back next time. The owners of this small casa particular guest house are an older married couple that will instantly make you feel like you’ve gained two new Cuban grandparents.
Relaxing on the patio in the garden is a highlight – the garden is filled with fruits and vegetables that become the stars of Tomasa’s home cooking. Located on the edge of town but within walking distance of everything you’d need, you can’t hope to find better when looking for where to stay in Viñales. Highly recommended!
Reviews and Bookings: Villa Tomasa
Casa Orlando y Juana ($)
Casa Orlando y Juana is a tiny but mighty casa particular guest house located just steps from one of the main entrances to the national park in Viñales.
Slightly removed from some of the more boisterous parts of an otherwise small town, it’s a relaxed and inviting place to stay in Viñales (that we personally have loved). Rooms are basic but comfortable, and the owners will make you feel at home instantly.

Las Mary ($ – $$)
For a bit of that boutique hotel experience in Viñales, Las Mary is a perfect choice. Rather than feeling like you’ve stepped into someone’s home, it feels like more of a true hotel, which is something that many travelers to Cuba miss when jumping between casas particulares.
Las Mary is located just two blocks from the main street in Viñales, meaning it feels perfectly removed from noisier bars and restaurants but not distant. Hosts and staff are friendly and provide a wonderful guest experience.

Travel Essential
Don’t think about traveling to Cuba without a good VPN (Virtual Private Network). Using a VPN while connecting to the internet is an easy way to keep your personal information safe from hackers and trackers. We’ve used NordVPN for years and couldn’t recommend it more – it’s a must for safety online, especially in Cuba.
Vinales Cuba Hotels
Hotel Los Jazmines ($$)
Of the few true larger hotels in Viñales, Hotel Los Jazmines is the most well-known, mostly for having a large swimming pool and boasting the most beautiful panoramic vistas across the valley from its hilltop location. Rooms are a bit outdated, and you won’t get the same personalized attention you would at a casa particular guest house, but it’s still a popular choice to consider among where to stay in Viñales.
You’ll find travel guides out there that recommend stopping at Hotel Los Jazmines just to take in the view, but take it from us: the view from next-door Balcón del Valle is just as spectacular. Enjoy breakfast from their patio to see the morning haze burning off over the mogotes – it’s one of the best things to do in Viñales.

What to Pack for Cuba
Check out our Ultimate Cuba Packing List to help you pack for your trip – we’re sharing exactly what to bring to Cuba and what we never travel without.
Hotel Central ($$)
Located in the heart of town, Hotel Central is a newer hotel in Viñales and one of the few hotels in Viñales run by a hotel group rather than a local. Like Hotel Los Jazmines, it offers a more hotel-like experience, which sets it apart for travelers who just aren’t looking for a smaller boutique hotel or casa particular guest house.
Comfortable, spacious rooms in the heart of Viñales are the biggest draws to Hotel Central. It lacks some of the uniqueness and friendliness of locally-owned spots, but it’s a great option nonetheless.
